A shocking discovery was made at the Kooje-Imenti In Meru County Landfill when the body of a decomposing baby was found.
Brian Mwenda, assistant chief of Gakoromone said the child appeared to be around four months old and that there was a similar incident that happened not long ago.
My advice to young mothers is that there are many ways to avoid pregnancy, such as family planning, implants, and pills. Abortion does not mean that you will regain your youth. Instead, you’ve taken on the role of the dead baby’s mother. If you have another child, it will always be a second born because the first one died as a result of your actions. This is a very sad incident, and I have spoken with the OCS, who are preparing to come and collect the body,” said Brian Mwenda, assistant chief of Gakoromone.
A resident said the incident that it was a major disgrace because it was the second reported case.
“Who knows? The baby could have grown up to be one of the most powerful people in Meru County. The perpetrator of the crime is a murderer. It is extremely wrong for someone to dump a baby because if you have a child, you should be prepared to raise it,” said the resident.

“The incident astounded me greatly. There were passers-by close to the scene who include mothers, the elderly, and fathers, who may have cursed the suspect. The suspect could become barren as a result of the curse,” said another resident.
Another resident advised young mothers who do not want to have babies to leave them on people’s doors or deliver them to orphanages adding that there were people who desired to have babies and were unable to. He said that If the baby had been alive, someone could have rescued and raised it.
The area surrounding the scene is densely populated with residential apartments and similar incidents are common.
