At least six people have been killed in Nigeria’s financial capital, Lagos, when a multi-storey building under construction collapsed.
According to an official, head of the disaster management service of the homonymous state, the search and rescue operation continues. The building collapsed yesterday at noon.
Eyewitnesses reported that about a hundred workers at the construction site of the luxury 25-storey building are missing. They were overwhelmed by a huge amount of debris.
Building collapses are not uncommon in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, where building regulations are often violated.
