Memories of last month’s tragic accident in Italy, which killed 14 people, have resurfaced in the last 24 hours. A video published by international media shows the last, fatal route of the cable car that crashed in a mountainous area near Lake Maggiore, when the steel thread that held it broke.
According to the Daily Mail, this material shows how close the 15 passengers of the cable car were to safety before the thread of their lives was cut in such a tragic way. The article specifically refers to two videos published by the Italian media: one of them was taken from inside the station on the mountain slope and the other from outside. Together, the two videos record the 20 seconds of horror that led to the deadly accident on May 23rd.
One of the two clips:
According to the British newspaper, one of the videos shows the cabin as it approaches the station. While it is only a few meters away from the safety, the steel thread breaks and the cabin appears to follow an uncontrollable course backwards, before it hits a pillar and finally crashes. The second video taken outside the station shows from a distance the frantic course of the cabin and its passengers towards death.

It is recalled that out of the 15 passengers inside, only one survived, little Eitan, a five-year-old boy from Israel.
