A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Cyprus police after cocaine was found in the body of his 5-year-old child. According to the Cypriot authorities, on May 21, a couple of foreigners asked a Limassol chemist to perform tests on their minor children.
Cocaine was found in the body of one of the minor children. The chemist urged the parents to file a complaint with the Police, which they did not do. The case came to the attention of the Police on Monday, May 24th.
Police arrested the father of the five-year-old child, while an arrest warrant was issued against the mother and he is wanted. According to the spokesman of the Cyprus Police, Christos Andreou, the woman escaped abroad on Sunday with the children.
A case is being filed against the 45-year-old for possession, use and supply of a controlled drug of class A ‘and abuse of a child under 16 years of age. The case is being investigated by the Limassol TAE in collaboration with YKAN.
