Meru: A college student was allegedly attacked by a gang in Meru town. The motive for the attack is not clear yet. The student suffered severe injuries and has been hospitalised.
According to the victim, her aunt, who lives in Maua, accompanied her to the hostels and left her in good shape.
“I went to sleep for a while, and when I woke up, I felt sick. I went for a walk outside. I could see cars approaching me as I walked. I could also see a lot of people moving in my direction. Later, I found myself in the middle of a thicket. I’m not sure how I got there because I was kidnapped and brought back in the dark. I can’t say anything else for the time being, but you can ask my pastor for more information,” said the victim.

According to the victim’s uncle, Mr. Ntoachoro, he and his wife were attending a church service when they received a call informing them that their niece had been assaulted.
“We accompanied her to college, made sure she reported, escorted her to the hostels, and left her in good condition. I had no idea what had happened until we received a call informing us that she had been assaulted,” said the victim’s father
The victim’s family arrived and drove her to the hospital.
