A police officer attached to Meru Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu’s home in Kimachia shot and killed a man in a cold blood murder.
Eyewitnesses yesterday evening confirmed the events leading to the death of the man.
Kinoti, who is attached to Meru Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu’s home, is reported to have shot a man known as Kimba. According to reports, the distance between the scene and Ntuchiu’s home is 3 kilometers.
“Kimba was abducted from his home and dragged to a bush, where he was shot twice. The 24-year-old left behind a wife and a two-week-old child. We demand to know why he was shot, and we intend to hold protests outside Ntuchiu’s residence,” an eyewitness said.
According to a resident, the officer accused him of trespassing and dragged him into a bush, where he shot him twice in the head. He demanded to know if Ntuchiu was above the law and if his security was brought in the community to kill them all.

A colleague to the deceased said they had spent the entire day with Kimba unloading cement and when they left work at 3 p.m, Kimba said he planned on taking a shower after he got home.
“When I arrived home in Kimachia, I learned that he had been killed by a gunshot. He is said to have been shot from behind,” a colleague said.
Another eyewitness said she happened to be nearby and saw Kimba being pursued. She said he was shot twice shortly after.
“The officer shouldn’t have taken a person’s life because it wasn’t his job. There are no houses between Ntuchiu’s residence and the scene where Kimba was shot, just bushes. He is not a thief and was not found in possession of any stolen property,” an eyewitness said.
The residents, waving tree branches and chanting Meru Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu’s name, claimed that the Chief was opposed to their planned protests, but vowed to march to Ntuchiu’s home.
