The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested former Meru Sports Executive Daniel Kiogora on suspicion of forgery.
Mr Kiogora allegedly forged his University degree certificate, which he used to apply for work at the Meru County government and showed that he graduated from the institution with a second class upper division Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2010.
The University of Nairobi disowned Mr Kiogora’s degree in May 2019 after one of the MCAs sent an inquiry letter to the university in February of that year, seeking to establish the authenticity of his degree.
