An explosion in a third-floor apartment building in Kiev caused a fire, which spread, with firefighters trying for several hours to extinguish it.
Rescuers found the body of a 47-year-old man whose house had been blown up. A total of 14 people were injured, three of whom needed treatment.
Eight apartments were damaged and two more were completely destroyed.
The investigation into the causes of the accident has already begun.
