Father accused of drugging and raping his five minor children

A man from Cλεte d’Ivoire is accused of raping his five children, aged 3 to 13, whom he drugged to give them ecstasy, local judicial authorities said on Thursday.

His brother and the children’s uncle are also charged with “substance abuse, harmful to health and rape by a relative,” said Abidjan Prosecutor Richard Andou.

The horrific case was revealed by the mother of the children, four boys and a girl aged 3, 5, 8, 11 and 13 years.

The children confirmed that they had been sexually assaulted by their father and uncle.

The mother complained to the authorities that she found out that her husband repeatedly raped their minor children after he had previously made sure to give them drugs, the prosecutor added.

According to Andou, a medical certificate issued by a gynecologist states that signs of sexual violence were found in the children.

Drugs were found in a cupboard used by their father. The latter claimed that he bought the drugs from a wanderer who told him that it was an aphrodisiac.

The two men have been remanded in custody and could face up to life in prison if convicted.

They were arrested a week after the disgust caused by a TV show in the country that allegedly “condemned” the rape.

The presenter Yves de Bella invited a former rapist to his show on the private television channel NCI and asked him to explain that he was abusing his victims, under the teasing of the public.

The show provoked strong reactions from anonymous, anonymous and rape victims, who demanded that the presenter and the channel be sanctioned.

Yves de Bella was sentenced to 12 months in prison with a suspension for “apology for rape” and “insulting public decency” while his guest was sentenced to two years in prison without suspension.
