Must read

A father, Joseph has slaughtered his 22-year-old biological son, James Muriithi.

The incident occurred at Mbayo village in Igembe of Meru County.

The deceased’s mother told Baite TV that the father took his son to his farm and beheaded him

“After sustaining major cuts to my legs, head, and arms, I divorced him 16 years ago. Before I left him, he had broken both of my arms. The deceased was the eldest of our eight children,” said the victim’s mother.

“I’ve been living in a rented house with all eight of my children since the divorce.

“James Muriithi, the deceased, had gone to see his father. I waited for him the next day, but he never showed up.

“He was said to have spent the night in a room that used to be my bedroom after arriving at his father’s residence.

“When his father found he had spent the night there, he grabbed him and dragged him to the farm with the help of his workers the next morning.

“They beat him and then he cut him with a machete. They later flung him over the fence to a neighbor’s compound,” said the deceased’s mother.

According to the deceased’s mother, her ex-husband neglected his responsibilities to provide for and educate the children, as they all dropped out after finishing primary school.

“When I went to the children’s court, he bribed the officials, and the case was dismissed,” she said.

The deceased’s sister said her brother wasn’t the first victim. She said her father previously assaulted others but residents were terrified of him and couldn’t report him.

“He comes hunting for you in the middle of the night and assaults you when he finds you’re interfering with his affairs,” said the victim’s sister.

She pleaded with well-wishers to intercede and assist in getting her father arrested.

A resident said the suspect posed a danger to the community. He urged authorities to apprehend him as soon as possible because he could beahead another member of the community.
