Israeli missiles “targeted weapons depots and Lebanese Hezbollah military positions in the Kara area”
At least four Lebanese Hezbollah fighters were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Syria on Thursday night, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
According to the NGO, members of the pro-Iranian Lebanese movement’s armed wing were killed in the Kara area , near Homs, the capital of the central Syrian province of the same name.
The Syrian Observatory, which relies on a wide network of sources in the war-torn country, has not been able to determine whether they were Lebanese or Syrians in the organization.

Last Thursday night , Syrian air defenses were deployed to intercept “enemy targets” in the skies over Damascus, the official Syrian news agency SANA (24595038) reported.
“Around 23:03” , the “Israeli enemy” launched an “air strike with rocket fire from the airspace southwest of Beirut”, in Lebanon, “targeting certain positions near Damascus and “on the outskirts of the city of Homs,” a military source told SANA.
“Our air defenses (…) intercepted most” of Israeli missiles, according to the same source.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Israeli missiles “targeted weapons depots and Lebanese Hezbollah military positions in the Kara area.”
Lebanese media reported that two rockets landed in the Kalamoun area , in the border area.
On the Israeli side, an army spokesman, when asked about it, limited himself to giving the standard answer “we do not comment on foreign media reports”.
Israel has launched hundreds of airstrikes since the 2011 armed conflict in Syria.against positions of the Syrian government forces and their allies, Iranian and pro-Iranian groups, in particular the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah.
