The director-elect in the Akachiu electoral zone thanked the tea farmers for voting for him. He congratulated the tea farmers for their large turnout and for their prayers being answered. He was confident that he would do a good job for them once he took office.
Farmers chastised the outgoing directors for allowing their produce to dry overnight before it got picked up the next morning.
“May God bless you for your trust in me. We anticipate that the tea farmer will earn Ksh 100 per kilo each year in order for our children to be able to attend school. When I take office, I will meet with the tea board to arrange a meeting with the tea farmers,” said Gerald
“Our attempts to contact the previous director were futile because our calls were ignored. He used to pull over to the side of the road and stare at the Kibanda before driving away.
