Governor Kiraitu says “crocodile still in the river”

Must read

Governor Kiraitu said in an interview with a vernacular television station, ‘King’ang’i kiri oo rujine,’ an acronym he uses frequently, meaning the crocodile is still in the river, as a warning to other candidates to come prepared in the 2022 elections because he will devote a lot of energy to his final campaign.

“It’s true that no one has seen me in a long time. I was last in Meru on March 2, and this is my second morning out of the house in the last two months. I’m feeling energized, and I’ll be back at work the following week.

“I implore people not to tire of me and carry their disabled to show them the way, because you may have a disabled person who knows the way.

“I’d like to thank Titus Ntuchiu for stepping in for me when I was sick and carrying out all of the duties that a governor is supposed to carry out. He completed the task to my satisfaction.

“I’d also like to thank Bonface Miriti for his excellent management of the staff. In fact, he spoke with striking nurses and explained several issues to them. So the work is in progress, which is exactly what I wanted.

“What I wanted to do was strengthen the systems so that when I leave, regardless of which governor comes in, each ward will have enough money to make improvements

“I’d also like to thank Rufus Miriti for his excellent management of the staff. In fact, he spoke with striking nurses and explained several issues to them. So the work is in progress, which is exactly what I wanted.

“I thought I’d never recover, especially after the deaths of Magufuli and Kiambaa Mp. I was with Kiambaa Mp at the hospital. The most important thing in life, I’ve realized, is to be alive.

“I did not state that I would not run for governor in 2022. I stated that I would make some changes. I’ll be running, and it will be my final campaign.

“If there is one campaign that I will devote a lot of energy to, it will be the next one. So watch the space because I have never lost a campaign in my political career.

“I’d like to inform the public that the crocodile is still in the river. Someone claimed that it was taken to India, but this should serve as a warning to other candidates to come prepared. The crocodile does not stay on top of the river.

“Justin Muturi is more qualified to be the Mt Kenya Kingpin because he has more experience. We must avoid being jealous.

“Uhuru has not stated who will be the next President of Tanzania. People should not make assumptions, and we want our people to come together so that we can talk about politics.

“Mt Kenya region does not have a party at the moment because people have never owned the Jubilee party. People claim that Jubilee is our national party. It is not a party for the Mt Kenya region.

“When you look at the top leadership, it is not a party like when you have a DP in the event of an opposition so that we know this is Kibaki’s party and GEMA party. We do not have such a party in the region, but others do, and that is what we require.

“We need a party owned by our people, similar to the ODM party. When Kalonzo arrives with Wiper, we must also arrive with our own. We are currently having a debate about it.

“The judges on BBI became so engrossed in legal procedures and technicalities that they forgot we had a bigger problem to solve. When it will be presented at the court of appeal, the couet will examine the legal technicalities and other problems to determine whether we can solve the problems at the grassroots level in the fundamental interest of Kenyans.

“BBI is a journery. When you’re ttavelling down a tarmac road and it comes to an end, you don’t sleep there. The journey continues until you arrive at your destination.

“Assume August 8 arrives and the referendum does not take place, the two-thirds gender rule does not get dissolved, and Meru county will still lack enough resources. Even after September or October, the issues will still be addressed.

“If the BBI does not pass before August, we as leaders must begin planning for the worst-case scenario. After the referendum failed in 2005, we began looking into the old constitution,” he said.
