He is believed to have killed 8 other women – He allegedly confessed to eating pieces of his victims
Authorities in central Mexico have unearthed the remains of a 34-year-old woman who was reported missing, as well as parts of the bodies of eight other women, at the home of her 72-year-old partner.
Mexican prosecutors say eight women may have been murdered by Andrés Mendoza over a 20-year period.
According to a report by Imagen Television, Mendoza confessed to eating parts of his victims’ bodies. It is also reported that he had videotaped the murders of women.
Atizapan police were investigating the disappearance of Reyna González, a mother of two, when they discovered the dismembered bodies at Mendoza’s home on Saturday.
González was reported missing on Friday when she went to the perpetrator’s house to tell him to divorce. He allegedly stabbed her.
According to local media, he stabbed her in the chest and then dismembered her, putting her pieces in bags. The police found them there on Saturday, the bags were still on the table.
A police dog located the bodies of the other women. Their remains were buried under the floors. Among the macabre findings, parts of the victims’ skulls, but also parts of their skin.
Authorities also have a number of videos in their possession, which the reports want to include in the killings.
In his possession they also found a notebook with the names of 29 women.
Prosecutor Dilcya García is convinced that we are talking about a serial killer .
