Bodies of a couple were discovered today in their house at Fourth estate Mnagei location West pokot county.
The two are suspected to have committed suicide overnight and the reason behind their death is still unknown.
The bodies were discovered by neighbours and family members.
While confirming the incident Kapenguria police station officer commanding station Lucas Wamocha, said the mother to the deceased man went to wake them up today at midday after noticing the two had overslept but no one opened the door.
Mr Wamocha said the two arrived home yesternight while drunk and locked themselves inside the house.
“The family members waited until noon for them to wake up they knocked on the door but there was no response, they had to break the door to get access to their house where they were discovered dead.” he said.
He added that they suspect the man killed his wife then he later hung himself at the roof top using a rope.
“The man Musa Ahmed is 25-years-old and the lady Sharon Cherotich is 20-years-old they got married three months ago the man has two children from the former divorced wife.” he said.
Wamocha added that from the report they gathered the man approached his mother two weeks ago and told her that in one week times they will be dead.
“He further instructed his mother to take care of his two babies but the mother didn’t take it serious but it has come to pass. The body of the woman was lying on the bed while the man was hanging like a meter away from the roof of the house” he said.
He said the bodies have been moved to Kapenguria county referral hospital awaiting postmortem.
