A form four student in Uasin Gishu County has killed his ex-lover and her one-year-old baby.
David Kipchumba moved to Saruyot Village to try and mend things with his form three girlfriend whom they had parted ways with before getting pregnant for another man.
“The form three student was a mother of a one-year-old child and a student at the Saruyot Secondary School.
The suspect has been spotted on several occasions looking for the deceased for the past week” said the area Assistant Chief.
According to the deceased mother, her daughter was not ready to get back together with the suspect because she had already moved on with another man.
“The suspect is not the father of the child, he is the ex-boyfriend and he goes to school at Biwot Secondary School. The father of the baby schools in Ngeria, the suspect was seeking an act of revenge when he killed her. said the mother of the deceased.
According to the reports by the neighbors, the suspect lured the deceased to the river before killing her and her baby.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect laid the girl’s lifeless body on grass as her drowned her child.
After committing the crime, the suspect marked the places he had dumped the two bodies.
He then rushed to his home where he confessed to killing the two in writing before trying to take his own life through taking poison.
The suspect didn’t die and was rushed to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) where he is currently recuperating awaiting to be charged.
