Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza donates furniture & uniforms

Kirukire primary school from Meru County received uniforms and furniture comprising desks and chairs from Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza. The donation came at a time when a number of schools around Meru county are short of school furniture.

“The students at the school come from diverse backgrounds and cannot afford uniforms, but Bishop Hon Kawira Mwangaza has recognized them. We faced the challenge of maintaining social distance in classrooms due to a lack of desks, but we are pleased to see that it has been resolved thanks to the support from Bishop Hon Kawira Mwangaza,” said Mr. Moses Kimathi, a senior teacher.

“The school faced numerous other challenges, but since Madam Irene’s arrival, the school has posted a mean score of 235 in the KCSE 2020 examinations. Seven candidates have scored above 300 marks. The top student scored 381 marks, the second scored 353 marks, and the third scored 348 marks,” he said.

The headteacher of Kirukire primary school said that Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza had arrived at school before the students did and thanked her for her generosity. He urged other elected leaders to support the school in the same way that she did.

A parent of Kirukire primary school said she was overjoyed because she could see what the mother county was doing in other areas. “We’ve seen how she has carried out development projects, and we hope she will help us again. We will elect her to any seat she desires in the 2022 elections. Kiraitu Noo PEU 2022,” she said.

Another parent said she was on her way to look for pasture when she heard Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza came to offer support to the school. “As a parent, I am thankful for the seats and uniform, and in 2022, we will elect her to any seat she desires,” she said.

Another parent said because Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza had done more in Igembe and Imenti compared to the other elected leaders, the people of Kirukine were grateful, and they will elect her to any seat she desires in 2022.

The headmistress said she was overjoyed because mother county had paid a visit tp the school. “May God bless her, and I want to assure her that the people of Kirukine will provide her with the assistance she requires in 2022.

“May God add to what she does to help our community. We also see her traveling around Meru County, helping children with special needs, which we have never seen before,” said Madam Irene, the headmistress.
