Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi appears to be politically befuddled and unsure of his next steps, particularly in relation to political parties.
Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza echoed these sentiments while visiting Central Imenti on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
“I’d like Kiraitu Murungi to be informed that he’s become a Meru loiterer. When he touches here, he touches there. It’s as if he overheard someone suggesting that I join the UDA party and moved quickly and made sure he had clout in the party. When it is rumored that I intend to join another party, he secretly sneaks his influence into it “Hon. Kawira stated.

“It’s obvious that he’s undecided. He has denounced a political party that he claimed to own. He should declare his position, and be informed that, with or without a political party, Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza will send him home,” Hon. Kawira said.
Kiraitu Murungi, who previously supported Jubilee and stated that William Ruto would be his president, proved Kawira’s sentiments to be true .
“We joined Jubilee because it is the only party that brings all Kenyans together. The party is non-tribal and represents Meru, Kikuyu, Embu, Kalenjin, Swahili, Luo, and all others. We want one Kenya and one people. I love Deputy President William Ruto because he backs President Uhuru Kenyatta in his leadership of the country “Kiraitu Murungi said.
“If there is anyone who has been talking about President Uhuru, it has been Deputy President William Ruto. We will thank him by giving him a landslide victory in 2022. With the Jubilee party, we will elect Ruto as President “Kiraitu Murungi stated this.
Kiraitu Murungi later changed his tune and stated that Jubilee was doomed.
“Even if the Jubilee is collapsing, we will are still in it, but it will be a very weak party in next year’s elections. Stand with Jubilee in 2022 if you want to lose elections “Kiraitu Murungi stated this.
Kiraitu Murungi and his allies announced the formation of a political party for the people of Meru. They mentioned it in the press.
“As the Mt. Kenya East region, we are ecstatic to have our own Restore and Build Kenya party political vehicle. “It is a regional party, but we will also be visiting other parts of Kenya because a regional party cannot be registered even if we say it is a vehicle for Mt. Kenya East,” Meru deputy Governor Ntuchiu said.
“It’s a National Party, but the top leadership is from the Mt. Kenya region,” Ntuchiu said.
Kiraitu addressed the press once more, claiming that he is not an official of the party.
“I was not a party official. The name wasn’t also there, and it was only a process. I am aware that the process is ongoing, and people will be informed about the real name of the party and its officials when the time comes. “For the time being, the people you saw were part of an ongoing process,” Kiraitu Murungi explained.
He was rumored to be planning to join the UDA party, but he has since changed his mind.
“I want my people to know that I will not run for Governor with the UDA party, but with my own. Ruto owns the URP, Uhuru owns the TNA, and I own the Bus Party. We formed the Jubilee Coalition by combining the parties. The Jubilee party appears to be dead, and Ruto has formed the UDA party. President Uhuru is retiring, and he will no longer require Jubilee “Kiraitu Murungi said.
“If situations are like this, I’ll go back to where I came from and form my own BUS party. When it comes to coalition negotiations, I will do so while still at my party. Because others have political parties, I see no reason why the people of Meru should not have their own “Kiraitu Murungi said.
Kawira Mwangaza appears to have contributed significantly to Kiraitu Murungi’s confusion. He is unsure of the political path he wishes to take.
Kiraitu Murungi and his allies want to know Kawira Mwangaza’s political strategy and who her allies are.
They want to know who Kawira Mwangaza’s deputy governor will be, as well as the women representative and the senator she will support.
Kawira Mwangaza appears to have hidden her political card, which has caused confusion in Kiraitu Murungi’s camp.
According to Kawira Mwangaza, now is not the time to discuss political parties, but rather to get to work.
“He denounced the party yesterday, claiming that he has never seen or heard of it and that he does not want it. It is well known that he owns the party. He should declare his position, and we want him to know that Kawira Mwangaza, with or without a party, will send him home,” Hon. Kawira said.
“Even if we gave Kiraitu Murungi 100 parties and hung them around his neck, he will still go home; he said it is mandatory that he comes with a political party outfit, but he sold the Bus party, and the people of Meru have never received a single cent of the money he received,” Hon. Kawira said.
“We all know that the party he intends to bring to the people of Meru will be eaten alone by him, just as he ate the bus. He should let others work for Meru County in peace. The rest is about political parties that we don’t care about.
“I empowered Mutego Community with a 10,000L water storage tank. I would bring water if I had the money that Kiraitu Murungi’s office receives,” Hon. Kawira said.
Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza urged Kiraitu Murungi to drop out of the race because he is unable to keep up.
