“We are about to complete four years, and the county government has received more than Ksh 40 billion. When I go to the hospital, however, people are crying because there is no medicine, said Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza.
“When I inquire as to why the needy do not have medicines, I am informed that the King’ang’i is still in the water. I am constantly giving money to boda boda operators so that they can help themselves because when someone obtains a motorcycle through a loan, it is repossessed because he cannot afford the cost of repairs when the wheels wear out and the motorcycle becomes damaged,” she said.
“When I ask for the money meant for roads, I am told that the King’ang’i is still in the water. We have a lot of money in the governor Kiraitu Murungi’s ministry of culture that can help groups,” she said.
“When I ask them why they aren’t supporting me, like here where we have more than five groups at this stage, am told that the King’ang’i is still in water. My funds are limited and I’m unable to assist all of the groups. When I ask for their help in assisting our youth, I am told that the King’ang’i is still in the water,” she said.
“I’m asking for your help in pulling the dead Kin’gang’i out of the water next August. Will you assist me in getting it out of the water? Do you agree that there isn’t anything there? There is only the name left, and there is nothing else. I’m not afraid because the King’ang’i did not mean well for me when we were given this leadership. It is for this reason that I was greeted with Judas greetings in order to bury me and slash my feet,” she said.
“They knew that if I were elected, it would be more fire ahead. This time round I’ve said that I will be bringing my A-game. I want us to go side by side and I will not step off . I will not step off even if he screams,” she said.
“I’ve heard he’s about to surrender and has gone to Nairobi to seek chairmanships. Have you seen him since he got better? He’s playing the cards of becoming a party chairman while resurrecting the parties whose legs had been severed and died in order to bring them back,” she said.
“What I’m wondering is how a person who hasn’t been in office for three months can start sprouting parties. Do we eat and dress up parties? Parties aren’t bad, and I’m not against them, but this isn’t the time to go around in circles with the people of Meru. It is a time account for Ksh 40 billion,” she said.
“How many children have gone to school? How many roads have been built? However, when I inquire, I am told that it is still in the water, and I am sent t-shirts with writings stating that it is still in the water,” she said.
“What I tell them is that they should keep singing and that they are not finished. However, the force with which we will shake Kiraitu Murungi in 2022 will astound him. The old man is out of luck. Even if he brings a party, it will be his and for his own purposes,” she said.
“Our party is for Jesus, and we will plan when 2022 comes so that we know where we are going. Now is not the time for parties, but rather to work for the Meru child with the government funds that are available,” she said.
“I brought money that will not be returned, and it is not a loan, but rather your money. Nobody will demand it of you, and what I dislike is people sharing the money amongst themselves because the money will be gone in an instant,” she said.
“However, if you deposit it in a bank account and loan it amongst yourselves, the money will help you. When one of the members faces a challenge and is loaned Ksh 1000, he should return it with an interest of Ksh 100 or Ksh 200, and the account will continue to grow,” she said.
“I’ve brought a Ksh 178, 970 cheque to Riverland Welfare. I implore the group’s leaders to protect the hustlers and not allow them to be oppressed or shaken. Do not allow yourself to be pocketed by a man known as King’ang’i, who pockets people while leaving hustlers with no one to protect them,” she said.
“Speak up if you hear that they are being oppressed. The voice of many people is not the voice of one person. We should all speak together and unite,” she said.
