Meru County MP Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza arrived at Kanuni early in the morning to empower people with disabilities with Ksh 178,000. Hundreds of students were each awarded cheques ranging from Ksh 10,000 to 20,000.
Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza said during a ceremony to present the cheques to the beneficiaries which was held at Kanuni that a flag is a symbol of a country’s leadership and Kiraitu Murungi has erected a flag at the entrance to Meru town with a crocodile symbol depicting that he is a crocodile still in the water.
“A crocodile is a dangerous animal that poses a risk to humans and other animals,” said Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza.
“You do not drink water from a crocodile-infested river, nor do you allow your goat or cow to drink it because it will kill them. Residents of Meru County cannot be ruled by a crocodile, which is associated with demonic powers.
“The flag erected at the entrance to Meru town is intended to eliminate Meru County residents. Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi has destroyed Meru’s economy, rendering small microenterprise businesses unsustainable, and the youth are being auctioned off after purchasing motorcycles on loan.
“As a result of the deplorable state of the roads, the youth are juggling between repaying motorcycle loans and repairing them. This is due to the demonic and satanic powers on the flag. As a result of the poor road network connecting villages, boda boda operators frequently replace damaged motorcycle wheels.
“As a result of the demonic and satanic powers associated with the crocodile symbol on the flag, hospitals in Meru County are running low on medicines. Meru County women are unable to obtain the cheapest medicine, such as Panadol, and are forced to purchase it from chemists.
“Nonetheless, we see people wearing branded t-shirts proclaiming that the crocodile, or Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi as he is known, is still in the water.
“As Meru County’s Mother, I vowed to speak on their behalf by exposing the truth about Kiraitu Murungi’s government and representing Meru residents in parliament. Even if they try to ambush and assault me at my home again, I will always expose the truth and continue to represent Meru residents, particularly children.
“Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government believes it has achieved success by swindling public funds, oblivious to the fact that many children in Meru County are facing challenges, families are sleeping hungry, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are closing down.
“The majority of the time, Kiraitu Murungi’s government is actively organizing protests with public funds. Kiraitu Murungi has been in leadership for years but has never built a single house for a poor person, yet he goes around Meru County Critiscing my track record.

- Muchicha Blessing Self-Help Group Receive 303,098Ksh Cash Grant Award from Bishop Hon. Kawira Mwangaza
“The flag with a crocodile symbol erected at the entrance to Meru town is demonic and satanic, and I implore Meru County residents to assist me with their prayers.
“Nothing can stop me from running for Meru Governor in 2022, especially if Meru residents join me in prayer. We will meet at the ballot box with the rest of the aspirants who will be shocked when the hustlers of Meru County unanimously vote in my favor.
“Meru residents should be aware that public funds for the fiscal years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021 are stashed in gunny bags in houses. Now that we are in the final year, Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government has begun handing out handouts and pretending to do minor road repairs.
“The money has been hidden in specific people’s homes before being released in Ksh 50 and Ksh 100 notes and distributed to the public during the campaigns.
“When receiving the Ksh 100 or Ksh 50, residents should remember that for the past five years, they have been traveling on deplorable roads, lacking medicines in hospitals, and living with children with disabilities facing challenges and haven’t received support.
“How can Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, who has done nothing for the people of Meru and is about to retire, expect to be re-elected? Even if he is re-elected, he will do nothing but sleep on the job.
“I was recently in parliament to represent people with disabilities because there is no one else in Meru County to represent them so they can receive funding.
Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza said that Kanuni had a plethora of groups. There were 15 women’s groups, 13 youth groups, and 30 other groups. The group for people with disabilities was one of the thirty groups, and she chose to fund it because they were underserved.
