How Makutano’s Support For Kawira May Have Unsettled The Camp of Kiraitu

Must read

Makutano residents have explicitly thrown their weight behind the 2022 Gubernatorial ambition of Meru County MP Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza.

Speaking in Makutano, Kawira said that she will ensure that the residents become landowners when she becomes Governor.

“The majority of the residents do not own land on which to build their homes. I plan to purchase a 20-acre plot of land and donate it to various groups of Makutano residents so that they can build houses on it. I’ll make sure that each member of a group owns a small plot of land where he can leave his wife in the newly built home while he goes out to provide for the family,” said Kawira.

Kawira urged residents to form groups so she could enroll them in driving courses.

She said that when she becomes Governor, she will employ residents in the county government and assign them in vehicles like the one used to transport Ntoiti to her home to harass her.

“Under my leadership, the towns of Meru and Makutano will be clean, with no garbage dumps on every corner. My office has five employees, whereas Kiraitu Murungi’s government has over 4000 employees, and none of the Makutano residents has been hired,” she said.

According to Kawira, Kiraitu officials such as Ntoiti fight her because she exposes the truth and advocates for residents.

Kawira declared that because Kiraitu had grown old and was no longer capable of performing, she requested the residents to support her gubernatorial bid and send him home in 2022.

“Meru county will grow under my leadership after Kiraitu is sent home. Our children will be able to attend school, our homes will grow, residents and youths of Makutano will be recognized as important people, and Meru county residents will find job opportunities,” said Kawira.

According to Kawira, when the youths of Makutano faced a challenge, she was the one who responded because she resides in Makutano.

She said she was the one they called when they got stuck in trenches, and she was quick to come to their aid.

“When the youths face a challenge and no one else responds, I am the only one who sends money to them. I’ve officially declared Makutano to be Kawira Mwangaza’s home base.I encourage the youth to form groups and appoint a chairman so that I can fund them,” said Kawira.

Kawira urged boda boda operators and shoe cleaners to choose a chairman and secretary they would trust after forming a group.

“I want a well-organized group, and those who will be left off the list should make certain that they are included. The office that I will be elected to has a lot of money, and I will be offering job opportunities based on how members of groups have organized themselves,” Kawira said.

According to Kawira, all of her activities involved public participation, and she welcomed all feedback.

She said that she would be visiting the residents, and was confident they wouldn’t let her down.

Makutano residents vowed to drum support for Kawira to occupy the Governor political position of the county.
