Deputy President William Ruto has said that next year, by the grace of God his government will set aside Sh900 billion for projects and programs that will create 4 million job opportunities for these unemployed people.
Speaking in Makueni County, Ruto apologized to the residents for the ODM dominance in the region claiming that his party didn’t get there before residents were confused with what he refers to ODM’s as Tibim and Tialala slogans.
“I apologize for not coming here in 2013 because people are confused with ODM’s Tibim and Tialala slogans and it is my fault because if I had arrived earlier, we would have probably focused on more important economic decisions,” Ruto said.
According to Ruto, when the man of ODM party leader Raila Odinga introduced the handshake, he shattered Jubilee’s party and the plans it had made for the big four, which would have helped young people get jobs, money for agriculture, money for universal health coverage, and manufacturing.
“We had planned for the big four agenda, but when Raila Odinga came with the handshake, our plans fell apart. But this time I’ll be more cautious. My government will invest Sh50 billion in the small businesses that are borrowing money from Kenya Women and Fuliza. We will give them money because they are currently owed a lot of money at high-interest rates,” Ruto said.
Ruto said that after planning on increasing the powers of the president, Raila Odinga intended to change the constitution to add more political seats.
“Raila Odinga came to bother us with the BBI reggae, telling us that we must first change the constitution to include a prime minister’s seat and expand the president’s powers,” Ruto said.
“We can’t say we’re going to change the constitution or give the president more powers while our young people are unemployed, addicted to drugs, or involved in crime. If there is an urgent and important task that is almost becoming a crisis in Kenya, if not a national crisis, it is youth unemployment in our country, and we must prioritize it in all of our plans,” Ruto said.
According to Ruto, through the bottom-up economic model, he will eliminate brokers and cartels so that everyone can get food at a reasonable price and farmers can be paid a fair price for their produce.
He said he will take into account those who are unemployed, small business owners, farmers and uplift everyone by employing a bottom-up economic model.
“We will get the economy back on its knees so that we can support these small business owners who suffer from the sun while selling their produce, some of whom have no place to borrow money, and some of whom are crb. I will begin by investing in small businesses and assisting farmers in their initial investments in agriculture, seeds, fertilizers, and food crops,” he said.
According to Ruto, Interest is currently charged on amounts ranging from Sh1000 to Sh2000. He said he plans on reducing it to a 2% interest rate so that everyone can do business.
“Mama mbogas are referred to as garbage by some, however, their contempt will end. These small business owners have no title deed, no logbook, and are unknown to us, but we will put money into their sacco or cooperative and lower their interest rates,” Ruto said.
“Let us remind them that the wheelbarrow places the citizen at the bottom of the food chain. We must consider how we will walk together so that we can form that government next year, and I will not leave the people of Ukambani behind,” he said.
“I respectfully urge that the people of Makueni to unite and work together, as the Swahili people believe that unity is strength. I implore you to band together as Kenyans, regardless of ethnicity, religion, race, or ethnicity. I implore you to unite in order to eradicate tribalism, hatred, and contempt,” he said.
“I’ve come here to ask you to agree that we need a place where Kenyans can come together to form the government of 2022. So far, 150 MPs have defected from Jubilee and other parties to form the hustler nation in Kenya’s parliament. The UDA party has the most MPs in parliament with ODM having 70 MPs and Jubilee having 25 MPs,” he said.
“Some of those MPs are from other parties, but we are all united in the UDA party, which is a working party, because we understand how important it is for Kenyans to be together. The strategy we devised for the jubilee allowed us to attract a large number of Kenyans, and 8 million people voted for Jubilee,” he said
“We are all Kenyan brothers, and we will be able to address the challenges we face as Kenyans if we work together. We can deal firmly with unemployment, we can deal firmly with our business and the environment, and we can deal firmly with the issue of providing food for every family,” he said.
“I was in Jubilee, and others were in ODM, but we have decided that, like all hustlers, we will form a government with a single party. We joined the hustler nation, which has a wheelbarrow as its logo. Let us all band together to form a hustler government and take a stand with a wheelbarrow,” he said.
“With the Jubilee party, we have built railways, 10,000 kilometers of roads, and we have connected 2 million Kenyan households to electricity in 2013, and we have now connected 8 million people. To support our children, we have built 180 technical training colleges across Kenya,” he said.
“We will eliminate hunger and poverty in our country. I’ve come to Mtito Andei to ask for your assistance in forming that government with you next year. We will build technical training colleges to ensure that every child in this County has the opportunity to learn new skills and competencies,” he said.
“In the book of Amos, verse three, it says, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” You must agree, and I have reached an agreement with you as local leaders to form that government next year. I want us to agree with the people of Makueni that we want a place where all Kenyans can come together, not ethnicity, hatred, and division,” he said.
Ruto stated that a tribal party could not form a government and that the government would be formed by many Kenyans. According to him, clouds are a sign of rain in Swahili proverbs, and Makueni residents have noticed that the UDA party has 150 MPs and the ODM party has 70 MPs.
