Is Munya Contesting For Governor In 2022?

Must read

EALA MP Mpuri Aburi has requested Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi to pose for a photo shoot with his wife and grandchildren at the Meru county government offices because it will be his last.

Speaking at an event attended by Agriculture CS Peter Munya, Mpuru assured Kiraitu that his defeat would be remembered as the most talked about on August 9, 2022.

Munya said that he was making efforts in the Miraa market, which was managed by foreign officials.

According to Munya, he met and held talks with Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu and plans are underway to establish Miraa market structures in Nairobi County.

“We intend to ensure the hygiene of Miraa sales by prohibiting vendors from selling on the roadsides. I’ve also met with Mombasa Governor Joho, and plans are underway to establish Miraa market structures in Mombasa County. Governor Joho is a member of the ODM party and needs Meru residents’ support for Raila’s presidential bid in 2022,” said Munya.

According to Munya, It’s you scratch my back I scratch yours for the rest of those who need Meru residents to back them.

“We will not hand out our votes as easily as fire is handed out because we must have a plan. We must consider and ask ourselves what we will gain by backing others. While residents in other areas bargain, Meru County residents welcome any leader who approaches them,” Munya said.

Munya said that no resident considered what they would gain in exchange for backing others.

He said that he saw an old lady being carried up high on a wheelbarrow-like ballast in one of Deputy President Ruto’s event and wondered what would happen if was dropped.

“As the general election on August 9, 2022 approaches, we should pause to reflect and ask ourselves probing questions. Kenya Country is like a cake, and Meru residents should inquire about what is in store for them and what they will receive. We shouldn’t be invited to the bus party again because Kiraitu sold it a long time ago after it broke down at Nithi bridge,” said Munya.

Munya said that every time the election season approached, Kiraitu unveiled the bus party, which he later sold to the National Party, claiming that it had grown too small.

“We are currently being told that it has grown in size to accommodate everyone. Meru residents should band together and collaborate with others in order to benefit from them. They should avoid following Ruto, who has no idea where he is rushing to while telling lies about Mama Mboga’s plans,” said Munya

According to Munya, Ruto claims to donate cash but it never reaches the residents and causes havoc wherever he goes.

“Ruto never gives money away, but instead gives it his aid in public, only for it to be returned to him. I invite one of the residents to come out and tell us if he has received the money. Ruto leaves residents fighting and throwing stones at each other without having made any cash donations,” Munya said.

Munya said he saw a clip of a road in Muriri, Meru County being blocked by people who claimed they had not received the money.

“I’m curious if hustlers have money because, if you’re a hustler, I’m curious where you’ll get the money to make cash donations. I’m still working for the people, and I’m asking if Meru County residents will back my gubernatorial bid. I’ve always said that residents would back my bid, and now the time has come,” said Munya.
I have a voice and no one should speak on my behalf. I implore Meru County residents to stick to what they know because I have my own mouth and can speak for myself.

Munya urged the residents of Meru County, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, to consider where they woul cast their ballots and what they would gain by supporting others.

“Meru County residents should consider joining the camp that will protect them. President Uhuru Kenyatta has done a lot of work for the residents of Meru County, as every place I visit in Meru County is tarmacked. Some road construction projects have yet to be completed because our president is seeking funds, but they will be completed eventually,” said Munya.

Munya cautioned residents of Meru County against voting for someone they did not know well.

He urged residents to band together and back someone they’d worked with in politics for years in order to have bargaining power in the next government.

“I’d like to assure residents that I will be working closely with the next government and that they will not be misled if I am on the government’s right hand. I implore the residents to be patient because we are hoping for something in the next administration. We should support Raila’s presidential bid and the handshake between Raila and Uhuru,” said Munya.

Munya said that despite Meru residents’ support for Raila’s presidential bid in 2022, they must hold talks with him and reach an agreement because they must expect something in return.
