Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on a village in Diyala province in eastern Iraq , the jihadist group said in a statement posted on the Telegram.
Eleven people, including a woman, were killed and others wounded in last night’s attack in the village of al-Hawassa, near the city of Muqdadiyah, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said, accusing the Islamic State of carrying out the attack.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in the village of al-Rasad in Diyala province, leaving “11 dead and 13 wounded,” a security source in the province said. A medical source said 15 people were injured.
