The United Democratic Alliance supporters are drumming up support for their candidate Wanjiku to win the by-election that is slated for Thursday, this week, that is on the 15th.
This morning there was a bit of a scuffle that involved a number of members from the Jubilee party and also the UDA supporters as they clashed because of a venue that they were all supposed to use that was the Karuri primary school.
A number of police officers were in place trying to push them away. Tomorrow is the last day of campaigns but they’re trying to salvage what they can at the last minute.
This battle has been titled as one of the battle royales as President Kenyatta is going head-to-head with his Deputy William Ruto. William Ruto is finding his way into coming into the Mount Kenya region.
He has a number of politicians from the Mount Kenya region especially Central who are trying to push that agenda and in trying to push John Wanjiku into becoming the next Member of Parliament then it is one of those things that they’re really trying.

There are some certain members of parliament including Kimani Ichungwa, Ricathi Gachagua and Moses Kuria who are trying to push this agenda. For President Kenyatta and his Jubilee party is a battle for survival and that is what they are looking and seeing whether they can really wrestle and put away the UDA party.
They are actually really looking into getting the Mount Kenya region. UDA moved away from the Karuri Primary School where they were suspected to have that particular rally.
Since they were rebuffed, they really tried to see where else they could have the rally. Tomorrow is the last day of campaigns and they’re seeing what the outcome is going to be on Thursday this week.
