As Kikuyu elders cleansed the Mukuruwe wa Nyagathanga shrine following a ceremony to coronate National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi as Mt Kenya spokesman, he dared MPs to bring an impeachment motion against him, saying he’s not a coward while speaking to the press at St Mark Ena Secondary School on Sunday after a service at the Embu Anglican Diocese.
“I have been in the political game for long. Some of those threatening me have been in Parliament for only three years. Those against me can’t even meet the threshold to kick me out,” he said.
“I will be in Parliament on Tuesday, doing my work, so those who want to pass a vote of no confidence in me could do so without delay,” he said.
“Leaders from Mount Kenya have been divided. I must bring them together so that we speak in one voice and lobby for our share of the national cake,” he said.
“Leaders should get serious if they want to be in the next government and for their people to benefit in terms of resources,” he said.
