Kagumo Teachers Training College in Nyeri County is in mourning after its Deputy Principal committed suicide at Mathari Consolata Hospital.
After being brought to the hospital, Cyrus Ndirangu is believed to have committed himself by hanging himself from a hospital clothesline.
Ndirangu was transported to the facility on Wednesday evening after consuming an unknown poison in his house at the institution, according to Nyeri police head Paul Kuria.

“After taking an unknown toxin, the teacher was rushed by his colleagues. “However, while receiving therapy, he sneaked out at night and committed suicide by hanging himself on the clothesline,” Kuria said.
Kuria also stated that police had initiated an inquiry to determine what led Ndirangu to commit suicide.
“We’ve already dispatched sleuths to the facility to look into his death. “We’re waiting for our officers’ reports,” Kuria said.
