Kenya’s Ministry of Health announced 21 new coronavirus-related deaths and 965 new infections on Wednesday after performing 7,311 virus tests in the previous 24 hours.
907 Kenyans and 58 foreigners, ranging in age from 3 months to 103 years, have been infected.
The figures raise the total number of reported fatalities to 2,540, with 153,488, after the country conducted 1,618,990 tests in the country of almost 55 million people starting in March 2020, according to the ministry.
Since a vaccination drive began more than a month ago, 750,471 people have received the coronavirus vaccine, according to authorities.
