Meru County MP Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza said that Kiraitu and his officials must vacate office because residents have had enough of them stashing public money in houses.
Kawira urged residents to accept the money when Kiraitu and his camp begin handing it out because it is theirs, as children in Meru County are walking barefoot, attending classes hungry, and wearing ripped school uniforms.
“When Kiraitu begins visiting schools in Meru County after I have left, I encourage residents to sing for him so he can give them money. I have given my supporters permission to attend his rallies, and I encourage them to ululate when he arrives,” Kawira said.
According to Kawira, half of Kiraitu’s employees approach her in the middle of the night claiming that they are afraid of being fired and that they are aware that she will trounce Kiraitu in the 2022 gubernatorial election and that they will rally behind her.
“They claim not to steal, but they name those who do and ask that I include them in my government. Kiraitu sent a letter through his lawyer accusing me of claiming that his bus party was purchased with funds set aside for the Covid-19 pandemic and threatening to take me to court,” said Kawira.
Kawira said that Ruto paid a visit to Meru County the next day and chastised him until he felt the heat. She requested Kiraitu to retire quietly and offer advice while he rests at home.
“The younger generation has matured, and we urge him to give them the opportunity to lead. Meru County government collects over 12 billion in a year, and no child in Meru County will go hungry again because the money is sufficient to feed them under my leadership,” said Kawira.
According to Kawira, her job as Governor will be to sit down and plan for Meru County.
She said under her leadership, no farmer in Meru County would lack fertilizer because the money is allocated to the agriculture ministry, and she knows where it is.
“People are wondering where I’ll get the money to complete major development projects if I become Governor, and they claim that I’m just making empty promises,” said Kawira.
According to Kawira, before she was elected Woman Representative, she used to tell people that the budget allocated to the office was sufficient to purchase school uniforms, shoes, water storage tanks, and construct a one-of-a-kind resource and rescue center.
“Residents have witnessed development projects that they did not witness prior to my election. Meru County government sets aside funds to purchase original fertilizers at no cost to farmers. The county is allotted enough funds to feed primary schools without charging parents,” said Kawira.
Kawira said that the county government had enough money budgeted for hospitals and the purchase of medicines to keep people from being referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
“Kiraitu Murungi’s government, on the other hand, lacks a leader to plan its operations. A cartel encircling Ruto informed him that Kawira Mwangaza dislikes collaborating with them,” said Kawira.
According to Kawira, she told them that she didn’t have time to attend meetings at Hilton and Continental hotels because she was too busy distributing gumboots, school uniforms, giant umbrellas, water tanks, desks, lockers, tents, and chairs in Meru County.
“Because I stated that I would not waste my time following them to meetings in hotels that end at midnight, the cartel surrounding Ruto informed him that they would support someone else as Governor. The cartel lied to Ruto about Meru County residents saying they do not want a woman to be governor,” said Kawira.
Kawira said she was curious about what the cartel did with their money because they are wealthy.
She said, on the other hand, she didn’t have as much money as they do but went around Meru County helping the residents.
“The cartel is influenced by Kiraitu and is following his orders to lie to the residents of Meru County. I told them that leadership does not entail being a woman or wearing a skirt but rather having a mind capable of carrying out well-thought-out decisions and being merciful to the residents he or she leads,” said Kawira.
According to Kawira, a small child can lead people, just as Buuri residents in Meru County elected a former young leader as MP.
“The only free time I have right now is to work for the residents until the general elections on August 9, and then we will open another chapter leadership,” said Kawira.
Kawira urged residents to join her in prayer and expressed confidence that they would back her gubernatorial bid.
