Kapseret Member Of Parliament Oscar found himself in a hot soup on Tuesday after Kenya National Examination Council told the court that he did not sit for the Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education exams in 2006 as he had purpoted.
Testifying before the court on Tuesday 27th October 2021, Ms Nabiki Kashu, KNEC Principal Examinations Secretary said that Oscar Sudi’s KCSE records bear codes from a different school.
The index number on the Kapseret Member Of Parliament certificate which he had presented to the court belongs to a candidate at Parklands Secondary School in Nairobi and not Highway Secondary School where he claimed to have sat for his exams in 2006.
Ms Kashu further told the court that in the 2006 KCSE Examaninations, there was no school called Highway Secondary School.
“In the letter, we were asked to find out whether such a candidate sat for KCSE in the year 2006 at Highway Secondary School in Nairobi and was awarded certificate serial number 3381074 under index 401006/081,” she said.
“There is no possibility of two schools sharing a code number during a given examination,” said Kashu, adding: “Similarly, there is no possibility of two candidates sharing an index number,” she added.
“The purported copy of certificates presented to KNEC for authentication purposes is obtained from a forged document,” she concluded.
Sudi is being accused of forging his KCSE certificate, his case will continue on Wednesday.
He is also accused of forging his Diploma Certificate where he also claims to have been awarded at the Kenya Insititute Of Management.
