Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has slammed the ruling Jubilee Party (JP) claiming that the lay-off in the Kiambaa by-election is a sign of disintegration and collapse.
Last week, JP candidate Kariri Njama lost to his rival John Njuguna Wanjiku (UDA), following a by-election for the Kiambaa parliamentary seat. The UDA party is linked to Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
The post was vacated following the death of former MP Paul Koinange in March 2021. Mr Njuguna, popularly known as Kawanjiku, won the seat with 21,773 votes followed closely by Kariri, who won 21,263.
