Hundreds of people of Mbeani Chogoria ward in Tharaka Nithi county are facing immense sufferings as a damaged wooden bridge that connects Mbeani factory and Kiriani kia Mwembe road still lies without repair.
Locals claimed to walk for a distance of 10 kilometers when using an alternative route. In a bid to reduce their sufferings, villagers set up a wooden platform on two wooden poles.
They blamed Tharaka Nithi county government leaders for failing to repair the dilapidated bridge.
