“At approximately 8 am, I heard loud shouts outside my house and when I went to check on what had happened, I witnessed a man being beaten severely. The man was said to have been dragged onto the scene from a location where he was allegedly caught stealing two solar panels,” said an eyewitness.
The eyewitness said she saw the assaulters steal Ksh 500 from the victim’s pocket after severely beating him. She said that when they heard that the police had been informed and were on their way, they fled, leaving the victim unconscious.
“I condemn the act because they did not find him with any stolen property and yet they beat him,” said an eyewitness.
