Studies were disrupted at Nakuru West secondary school for hours after a commotion ensued near the school. A businesswoman who leased the institution’s stalls received a thorough beating from her estranged husband.
According to her friends, the husband was the one financing her tailoring business. She was having marital issues with him falling in love with a bodaboda rider operating around the area. Little did she know The unwarranted love was to cause her the shame and loss of business.
The rider’s wife aware of the love affair reached out to the husband asking him to warn his wife from interfering with her young family. He confronted his side who denied the claims. The husband grabbed her phone dawning on him that his 17 years old marriage was in limbo.
“I opened this business for us to move forward but you came here for your own things,” The outraged man dragged her out while packing all the business items in the shop
She tried begging for forgiveness but Baba Mercy could hear none of it. The loud screams forced students out of class to witness the fracas.
Being only meters away, officers from the Kaptembwa police station were alerted arresting the culprit. The OCS asked couples to desist from violence.
“If you realize that the marriage has unsolvable issues, break up like mature people, this habit of battering is uncalled for,” she said
“We told her severally to stay away from someone’s husband but she was adamant. The wife came to her crying, she begged her to stay away since her husband was drifting away, she told her off. Maybe it’s Karma catching up with her,” Lydia said.
She reported the assault at Kaptembwa police station and later sought medical services at Mother Kevin Catholic hospital where she was admitted.
