Betty Mutekhele, a Kenya Broadcasting Corporation journalist and video editor, was gunned down at her home in Ngong, Kajiado County, on Wednesday, April 7.
According to reports, Mutekhele was shot by thugs after encountering three armed thieves who entered the door with her, ordered the children to lie down, and demanded money.
“Two of the thugs dragged her upstairs while one of them assaulted the husband. “The husband has no idea what happened; he only heard gunshots,” an anonymous source said.
Her colleagues remembered her as a hardworking and talented journalist.
