Two suspects, a woman who is a driver of the Meru county government and a man, allegedly kidnapped a lady in Tigania Kianjai and drove her in a government vehicle to the Imenti Forest.

When they arrived at the Ribui forest edge, they ordered the lady out of the vehicle and began beating her while threatening to kill her.

Residents in the area responded to the desperate lady’s cries and calls for help, encircling the two suspects.

Police were called to the scene and took the two into custody and the car was towed to the police station.
