Militias fire several shells at a military base

Must read

Pro-Iranian militias fired several shells at a U.S. military base in the Omar oil field in Syria’s Deir Ezzor province tonight, leaving no casualties, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Syrian state news agency SANA confirmed the launch of the shells without specifying their origin.

In retaliation, “heavy artillery fire was fired by the US-led coalition fighting jihadist groups in the pro-Iranian militant city of al-Mayadin on the eastern outskirts of Deir Ezzor,” the French Rami Abdel Rahman.

Last night, the US military struck Iranian-backed paramilitary groups on the Iraq-Syria border, killing at least 10 of them in retaliation for the escalation of UAV attacks against US personnel and US facilities in Iraq.
