Miriga Mieru Tea farmers were overjoyed at the election of their new director. The farmers told BaiteTv that they believe their lives will change and their children will be able to study peacefully now that the previous KTDA directors have been voted out.
The tea farmers were also pleased that they had chosen the best candidate for the job, who will handle their problems with transparency.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your choice of me as your executive director.
Tea farming is profitable, and I’ll make sure the money finds its way into your hands. I’ll collaborate with the government to ensure that tea farming is carried out ethically,” Richard Gikunda said.
