Gitoro Kambakia, Imenti — A lady sustained head injuries after a driver lost control of his motorcycle on a road in Meru County, went off the road and into a ravine, eyewitnesses say.
Eyewitnesses rushed to the scene and found the motorcycle far off the road at the bottom of a ravine.
The driver of the motorcycle, whose identity has not been released, was found nearby. He was pronounced safe at the scene, eyewitnesses say.
According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle was traveling on Makutano-Kambakia road when it lost control on a curve, went off the left side of the road and down an embankment. The driver and two passengers were thrown from the motorcycle.
“I suspect the driver is inexperienced and may have abruptly released the motorcycle clutch,” said an eyewitness.
