A motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Kirung’a in Meru County.
The crash occurred on Meru Mikunduri Road.
The driver of the pickup suffered no injuries.
“I was driving away from Meru town when I noticed the motorbike speeding up. It collided with a pickup truck, knocking the driver to the ground,” said an eyewitness.

“Other boda boda operators towed the motorcycle onto another and fled the scene rather than alerting the police.
“I advise boda boda drivers to avoid speeding and driving under influence of bhang.
“The victim, completely unaware that there was a bump ahead, was shouting and laughing loudly while driving, indicating that he was not in the correct state of mind.
“Before crashing into the pickup, he hit the bump at full speed,” said the eyewitness.
The motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries in a different vehicle, with the pick-up being left at the scene.
