Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza has gained valuable endorsement to win the governor’s seat with the largest margin of victory of any Meru county candidate in history.
The 300,000Ksh Grant Award has electrified the county and introduced people to the woman who will become Governor.
Delivering the cheque, she expressed her love for the Athing’a-Mulika residents and the children of Meru County, as well as how she prays for them at all hours of the day and night.
Hon. Mwangaza informed the residents that she has a track record of putting words into action, having provided school uniforms to over 5000 orphaned and disabled children on a shoestring budget allocated to her office.
She has built homes for the elderly, funded numerous organizations throughout the county, and constructed Tigania’s first and largest rescue center built by a woman anywhere in the world.
Hon. Mwangaza compared how Meru County would fare in terms of development if her office received the billions of shillings, 500 vehicles, and 5000 workers that the national government has allocated to Kiraitu Murungi’s office.
She chastised Meru county governor Kiraitu Murungi for suggesting she be his deputy in the upcoming 2022 elections. This has pushed her into the political spotlight.
Meru county women’s representative Hon. Kawira Mwangaza also presented Athing’a nyumbakumi with a cheque for 100,000Ksh.
She witnessed the difficulties faced by nyumbakumi leaders from across the county who are not on the government payroll but manage to keep the community safe.
