Mwenda Litata Keke: Kiraitu Murungi should retire from active politics

Mwenda Litata Keke, a presenter at one of the local radio stations, has come out and said that Kiraitu Murungi, the Governor Meru County should retire from active politics because of his condition.

Kiraitu Murungi went public on 20th March 2021 after he had tested positive for Corona Virus.

Through one of Kenya’s Newspaper, Kiraitu explained his encounters with Covid 19, which he says he was put under home care nurse and continued to administer his drugs, monitor his oxygen, blood pressure and blood -sugar levels every three hours.

The break gave him an opportunity to take stock his own political journey. He said ” politics had robbed of my life and my voice. Had i died of Coronavirus i would have died alone. All that noise and bustle of politics would continue without me.”

During a thanksgiving service in Nkubu, Meru, Kiraitu Murungi said he was very happy to return home after two months of illness and healing.

Following rumors that the Governor became ill again after recovering from Covid-19 and resuming office, and was airlifted to hospital by a chopper that arrived early in the morning at Kinoru stadium, radio presenter Mwenda Litata Keke has stated that he is not stable.

He told the Governor that if his advisers and closest friends are not informing him that he is not in a stable condition, they are his real enemies.

“Only the people who love you are your family. You have already achieved, you have a legacy and if you want to improve it live, local politics and vie for the presidency, shake the mountain, come on,” said Mwenda Litata Keke.

He advised the governor that if he is not ready to shake the mountain, he should leave active politics, have fun with his family, children, grandchildren.

“Tour the world, visit Jacob Zuma in South Africa, visit Obasanjo in Nigeria, visit your friend Bush in the United States of America, visit Jerusalem, visit Babylon, and then come back home,” Litata said.

He urged the governor to share his wisdom with young people, and God will bless him.
