New bombings in Sanaa by Saudi alliance

Must read

Facilities secretly generated or taken off by remote-controlled drones (UAVs) of Shiite Houthi rebels in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, including a building under construction, were bombed today by the Saudi-led coalition air force.

in the war in the poorest country in the Arab world in March 2015, broadcasts the Saudi state news agency SPA.

This is the second night in a row that the alliance has launched airstrikes in Sanaa, which were snatched from the internationally recognized government by the Houthis in 2014.

Earlier, the Riyadh alliance warned that it would launch new raids against “legitimate” military targets in the city, urging civilians not to gather at potential target locations and not to approach them.

It is not known if there are any victims. No official report was released after last night’s beatings.

Iran-affiliated Houthis often launch attacks, particularly against oil facilities, in Saudi Arabia, using ballistic missiles and UAVs loaded with explosives.

On Saturday, they announced that they had sent 14 UAVs to hit targets in various Saudi cities, including an ARAMCO facility in Jeddah.

The war in Yemen, which some analysts have described as a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, has been deadlocked on the battlefield for years.

Since February, the Houthis have been conducting a large-scale operation to seize the oil-rich province of Marib, the last stronghold of the internationally recognized government in the north of the country.

Its downfall would be a disaster for the government and its main patron, Riyadh.

The United Nations estimates in a report released Tuesday that the conflict may have claimed the lives of some 377,000 people at the end of this year in Yemen, where the worst humanitarian disaster in the world is unfolding.

Most deaths are attributed to indirect causes, in other words due to the consequences of the war (famine, lack of drinking water, disease, dismantling of the health system and basic infrastructure, collapse of the economy …).
