According to the EACC, a few people who are proxies for the governor registered multiple companies solely for the purpose of procuring high-value contracts from the Migori county government.

The Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, was charged in court with fraud allegations in August of last year, and now the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is taking things a step further.
The anti-corruption body wants Obado, his four children Evelyne Adhiambo Zachary, Dan Achola Okoth, Scarlet Susan Okoth, and Jerry Zachary Okoth, as well as 16 other proxies and firms, enjoined in a suit seeking to recover Ksh.73.5 million it claims was looted by the accused via false or irregular contracts, according to a High Court petition certified as urgent.
Jared Peter Odoyo kwaga, 13 firms, and Oliver Okeno Odhiambo are among those who have been enjoined in the event.
