A motorist rammed into a shop in the go-down area in Meru on causing serious injuries to one child who was inside the shop, an eyewitness said.
An eyewitness said the driver lost control on the wheel, jumped onto the pavement and smashed into the shop.
“The owner drove to the car wash and left it with the attendant. The attendant rammed it into a shop while driving after he finished cleaning it, an eyewitness said.
Another eyewitness said she pulled a child from the wreckage and handed him over to be taken to the hospital.
“I was in a nearby salon when I heard a loud crash. When I went on scene, I discovered that a car had slammed into a shop,” an eyewitness said.
“Two children had gone to the store to buy something, and one of them was seriously injured. He was bleeding from the nose and mouth, and he had multiple injuries to his arms and legs.
“The owner of the shop was not present at the time of the accident as had gone to the back. Rice can be seen strewn about the store, she said.

According to another eyewitness, he saw the driver drive comfortably up and down the road twice.
“I’m not sure what happened the third time, but all I saw was him crashing into the shop,” he said.
He said the car wash attendant was on his way to deliver the vehicle to the owner, who is located near the Kensilver stage in Meru town.
