According to the Israeli army, 610 shells fell in the Gaza Strip
Since May 10, Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip have fired 4,070 rockets at Israeli cities, 610 shells fell in the Palestinian enclave itself, about 90% were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Israeli army.
“Since the start of Operation Wall Guards [May 10], 4,070 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel, of which about 610 fell in the Gaza Strip itself. The Iron Dome air defense system intercepted about 90% of the shells,” in the statement of the military.
Palestinian radical groups in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army have been exchanging strikes since May 10. The rocket attacks followed riots at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem following an Israeli court order to seize homes in Sheikh Jarrah from Arab families living there. According to the latest data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll has exceeded 250, of which 227 are in the Gaza Strip, including more than 60 children and over 30 women. On the Israeli side, at least 12 people were killed.
