Plane catches fire as it lands at an airport

Must read

The landing of an aircraft at East Midlands Airport in England yesterday afternoon was episodic, as seen in the photo that is doing the rounds of the internet and shows orange flames springing from the plane as it touches the ground.

According to a Daily Mail report referring to “landing errors”, no one was injured when the 747 cargo plane that had departed earlier from Leipzig, Germany, landed at the English airport with a deafening bang.

The photo shows the flames flying from one of the aircraft engines, as well as the smoke that begins to envelop the 747.

It is not known what caused the explosion in the engine, but the British media broadcast the claim of an eyewitness that ” something went into the engine” at the time of landing.
