21 aliens were arrested in Igembe-North sub-county in Meru county on Tuesday, including a good number of Eritreans and Ethiopians, in a police crackdown on illegal aliens, Igembe North DCIO Calvin Ambang told BaiteTv on Tuesday.

“We received word that aliens had been spotted in Igembe North-Subcounty. We alerted our police officers on patrol in the area at Mutuati police station and a GSU camp.

“They went to the forest and apprehended 21 aliens, including Ethiopians and Eritreans. They were taken into custody at Thaame police station and will appear in court tomorrow morning.
