PUBLIC PETITIONS considered in the National Assembly during the week

Pursuant to Standing Order No. 220. of the National Assembly, a petition to the House shall be—

(a) submitted to the Clerk by the petitioner and reported to the House by the Speaker; or

(b) presented by a Member on behalf of a petitioner, with the consent of the Speaker.

As such, the following petitions were presented to the House during the week

-i(a)By Mr. Charles Ochieng and other residents of Miwani in Kisumu County regarding Negligence by the Department of Immigration to Enforce Covid-19 Protocols on Workers of Kibos Sugar Factory arriving from India and committed to Departmental Committee on Health; and

b) By the Members of the East Africa Tour Guides and Drivers Association on recognition and incorporation of representatives of tour guide in tourism-related bodies.

(ii) By the Member for Garsen, the Hon. Ali Wario, MP presented a petition regarding Degazettement of part of the Agricultural Development Corporation’s land in Garsen Constituency.

(iii) By the Member for Tana River County, the Hon. Rehema Hassan, MP presented a petition on behalf of the Residents of Bangale Ward, Tana River County regarding harassment of residents of Tana River County by the Kenya Wildlife Service.
