Push-ups are a type of exercise for strengthening. Although they mainly activate the muscles in the arms and shoulders, they also involve the muscles in the core and legs. Therefore, push-ups are beneficial for building strength throughout the body.
But how do you do push-ups properly?
Lie on all fours and rest your arms just below your shoulders and lift your legs off the floor. Then bend your elbows back – not sideways – and lower your chest to the floor.
Press up to start and repeat for 60 seconds.
Push-ups are a great multi-tasking exercise: they target your triceps, chest and shoulders. And if you drop your knees or go for the full push up, this is also a great core exercise.
